Trunk Mount Tempered Glass Windscreen Solstice Sky Opel GT
This new, low profile TEMPERED GLASS screen mounts in the trunk to pre-existing mounting holes using two screws. The screen can be left in place when the top is raised and offers superior scratch, vibration, warp, and crack resistance compared to flimsy acrylic and polycarbonate screens. The inlay line features multi-colored designs of laser-cut see-through scratch-resistant acrylics. These precise designs are inserted into the screen and sit flush to either side. The inlays create beautiful three dimensional, colorful displays as light passes through them and around their shiney edges. Best of all, the designs won't obstruct rearward vision. Some of the designs we've already done include the American Flag and car silhouettes. Colors available include red, blue, green, yellow, smoked dark gray and clear among others. CONSTRUCTION & ATTACHMENT The Windblade is made of tough, 1/4 inch, scratch-resistant acrylic or tempered glass. The edges are flame-polished leaving a glossy-smooth finish. Our patent-pending Windblade attachment kits feature either: a SIMPLE and EASY two-screw (Sol,Sky,Crossfire), bolt(SSR)or a HEAVY-DUTY, bracket(XLR)attachment system to pre-existing receivers of the car. This ROCK-SOLID-CONNECTION to the frame along with continuous gasket or bumper placement holds the Windblade securely in place, avoiding potential: vibration, adhesive stretching and loosening, and theft/vandalism problems of windscreens attached with tape or tape-velcro combination materials. The screen, being taller and closer to the seatbacks, will block more wind and not compromise trunk seals or require top-up removal like some flimsy 1/8 inch trunk-mounted versions. The Windblade can be left in place, since it is positioned to avoid contact with the convertible top when it is raised. Remember, removal of Windblades, if desired, as well as installation takes only minutes.
